Emissions Compliance Policy

1. Product Categorization

All motorcycle parts sold are classified as either:

  • Street-Legal Products: Compliant with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) emissions and noise regulations for road use. These include:

    • Exhaust systems with catalytic converters (if applicable)
    • ECU tuning solutions that do not disable emissions controls
    • Air intake and fuel system modifications within regulatory limits
    • DOT/ECE-approved lighting and safety equipment

  • Race-Only Products: Designed exclusively for closed-course competition and off-road use. These include:

    • Full exhaust systems without catalytic converters
    • ECU flash tuning or piggyback fuel controllers that modify emissions controls
    • Engine modifications that impact emissions compliance
    • Velocity stacks, smog block-off plates, and other racing modifications

2. Compliance Labeling and Customer Acknowledgment

  • All Race-Only Products will be clearly labeled:
    • “For Closed-Course Competition Use Only – Not Legal for Road Use in Canada.”
    • “Use of this product on public roads may violate emissions regulations.”
  • Customers must acknowledge and accept these restrictions before purchase.

3. Dealer & Installer Responsibilities

  • Dealers and installers must inform customers about compliance status.
  • Race-only parts should not be installed on street-registered motorcycles unless explicitly permitted by local regulations.

4. Import & Distribution Compliance

  • Manufacturers’ emissions compliance documents will be verified before import or sale.
  • Non-compliant products will be sold strictly as race-only or not carried.

5. Consumer Education & Support

  • Online resources and customer support are available for legal modifications.
  • A database of street-legal exhausts, fuel controllers, and air intake systems compliant with Canadian standards will be maintained.
